A blast from the past

Rob Mullane

This weeks "blast from the past" #6 is the man who has been at the club for longer than anyone else, in fact he played sporadically from 1965 to his last game in 2014, that's 50 years! It's our true Tiger Legend, Rob Mullane. Rob played in the golden era of the club in the … Continue reading Rob Mullane

Ken Baxter

This weeks "blast from the past" #5 is the man who lead our 1st grade team to 7 consecutive premierships in the 1960/70s, Ken Baxter. Our records don't go back to the first of these premierships in 1964/65 so a small amount of stats are missing, Ken was an amazing left hand top order batsman … Continue reading Ken Baxter

Merv MacGrotty

This weeks "blast from the past" #4 is the son of the legendary Mr Cannington, Merv MacGrotty. From the records I have, of which many are missing from the 1970s, Merv played in 231 games from 1967 to 2006. Merv was a great leg spinner and a very good top order batsman. He was mostly … Continue reading Merv MacGrotty

From the records I have Frank played from 1964/65 to 1993/94 playing 211 matches, playing in 6 Grand Finals and winning 3, most of those as Captain, with a winning percentage of 64% as Captain. Frank … Continue reading Frank MacGrotty

A blast from the past

Eddy Stanik

"Blast from the Past" #2. This weeks edition goes to a past player we lost in March 2017, Eddy Stanik. Eddy played in 132 games from 1980 to 1994 being a brilliant swing bowler and a handy tail end bat. Eddy took 353 wickets at an average of 16.03 taking a 5fa, 13 times and … Continue reading Eddy Stanik
