4th Grade in a fight, 6th Grade has a great day with the ball, 7th Grade has a big task again and our one day teams win 2 and lose 2.

Fourth Grade are in a fight with Kwinana for 3rd place at Orelia Park. Sent into bat Waqas came out firing for a quick 22 but then we lost 2 wickets at 2/24. All out for 163. All to do with the ball next week to get to 3rd spot.

Sixth Grade were at home for their last game vs Kwinana. Bowling first we had a great start as Kwinana crumbled to 4/20 with Guri Singh removing all 4 batsmen. A comeback followed which was broken by Jackson Curthoys and then Wynand Gouws 2/14 would take 2 wickets to have Kwinana 7/93. Guri would come back to take his 5th wicket to bowl Kwinana out for 117. Guri taking 5/35, his 4th, 5 wicket haul this season. Steve Hall bowling 19 overs for 25 runs showed how we bowled tight all day. A big win on the cards next week to finish the season on a high.

Seventh Grade struggled in it’s game vs Kardinya. The innings did not start well as we were reduced to 8/76 with Pardeep Kumar making 20 as opener. Manoj Kiradi added a quick 22 at the end to get our total to 108. Kardinya batted for 16 overs to get to 1/25, so our bowlers have it all to do next week.

ODB fell to 6th spot on the ladder in it’s 6th loss in a row in a heart breaker 4 run loss to Willetton and have it all to do next week in it’s final game vs Kwinana. We are only 5 points out of 4th spot, so we can still make it. Batting first the innings did not gain any momentum as batsmen would get starts but not go on with it. Dinaker Narasani making 30, the only batsman scoring over 20 runs in our total of 161 with 3 overs to spare. Our bowlers did a good job at the start to have Willetton 5/116, but some late scoring got them over the line in the last over as they reached 8/165. Dinaker taking 2/29 and Karnam Nagarjuna 2/35. Lets win next week and hope things fall into place!!

ODC stay on top of the ladder with it’s huge win vs Armadale at Gwynne Park. Batting first we plundered the bowling to post a huge score of 8/214 with Jobin Thomas top scoring with 42. Armadale were no match for our bowlers as they toppled them for a paltry 85. Nanda Kumar taking 3/7 and Cyril Jose 3/24. We should finish top after next week’s fixtures.

ODE had a big win vs Champion Lakes and can still finish top if things fall our way next week. Batting first we got away to a good start with Yesudas continuing his good form making 53 off 57 balls with 3 sixes and 3 fours. When his wicket fell we were 5/127, which quickly became 8/139, but Rahul Nair would launch an attack, making a quickfire 31 off 17 balls to boost our total to 9/191. Champion Lakes started well getting to 2/86 but 3 wickets from Yesudas changed the game as they were reduced to 5/95. Alex Samuel would take another 3 wickets to bowl them out for 126 and give us a much needed win. Alex Samuel taking 3/14, Yesudas Kuriakose having a great all round game taking 3/18.

Yesudas Kuriakose had a great all round game with 53 and 3/18

ODG had a heart breaking loss as they drop to 3rd on the ladder in their game vs Canning Vale. Batting first we had a solid start reaching 3/100, Anton making 31 and Ayoob in great touch again making 40. The innings was boosted by Lakmal with a scorching 32 off 16 balls with 2 sixes and 2 fours, This was backed up by Buddika with 28no off 22 balls, to get our total to 7/209. Our bowlers were well on top as they reached 5/76 and then the game looked like ours at 8/133. But a 10th wicket blast from Canning Vale would snatch victory from our grasp as they finished on 9/214 with the help of 44 wides from our bowlers. Adeesha Welgama had a great day with the ball taking a brilliant 6/32 and Vihanga Silva 2/29. A bye next week will guarantee a win but we need Canning Vale to lose to cement 2nd spot.
