4th Grade secure a top four finish, ODB fall out of the four for the first time as we win 3 and lose 4 in a wild weekend.

Fourth Grade were chasing 108 for victory and a place in the four vs Canning Vale at Coker. resuming at 2/36 we quickly lost wickets to be in trouble at 5/58 with only opener MH Ghani making double figures with 30. Waqas Khan steadied the ship with a good knock of 27 and then Jamil making 19 to get us over the target at 7/114. Vijay Kumar would then take control with the tail to take our total to 195 with Vijay not out on 55. Canning Vale would bat for 21 overs at a snails pace to reach 1/25. The victory secures a place in the finals, with the game vs Kwinana next week to decide who finishes third.

Sixth Grade did not have the fairy tale ending for Della’s 400th game as Kelmscott racked up the runs with a massive total of 8/329. Guri Singh battled hard all day for 4/84 with Steve Hall taking 2/65 and Harsh Jansali 2/35. Let’s finish on a winning note next game boys!

Seventh Grade were defending a great score of 228 vs Jandakot, but the plan did not go to script as Jandakot piled on the runs to reach a massive 6/297 to end our chance of a top 2 finish. Reddy Madamshetti taking 2/39.

ODB slipped out of the final 4 with a narrow loss to Kenwick. Bowling first we kept Kenwick score down to 4/122 but some late hitting got their total up to 6/173.The bowlers sharing the wickets around. The chase started badly as we lost wickets regularly to be in trouble at 7/104 but Dinakar Narasani had other ideas as he clubbed 56 from 51 balls to keep us in the game, but his wicket saw us fall just 11 runs short with 5 overs in hand. We will need to win the remaining 2 games to qualify for finals.

ODC had a close win vs Piara Waters at Sutherlands Park. Batting first the Tigers lost 2 early wickets to be 2/12, that’s when Sethuraj Rajendran and Vinod Suneeth would have a gtame winning partnership of 162, Vinod finally falling for 87 off 92 balls with 6 sixes and 2 fours and Sethuraj unbeaten on 61 to post a total of 3/179. Our bowlers got an early wicket but then Piara Waters put on a huge partnership of 148 until Jouhar Khan removed both batsmen to halt their scoring. The game came down to the last over with us finishing on top by 4 runs the final total 5/175. Jouhar Khan taking 2/27.

ODE took on Leeming at Sutherlands won the toss and batted first. We started well and things were looking good at 3/123, Yesudas Kuriakose scoring 40 and Safil Sharif 29, but our middle order and tail could not put the needed runs on the board as we were bowled out for 174 with overs to spare. Leeming had a steady chase as we could not take multiple wickets and they passed our score with only 6 wickets down on 6/184. The loss drops us to 3rd on the ladder with some big games coming up.

ODG had a confident win vs Leeming away from home. Sent into bat the innings was held together by Ayoob with a great knock of 56 in our total of 9/179. Our bowlers dominated the Leeming bats with Irosh, Adeesha and Imesh all taking 2 wickets apiece. Bowling them out for 136. The win keeps us in 2nd place in a tight race for 1st spot with Jandakot.
