A wet weekend saw most of our matches with reduced overs.

4th Grade were at home to Kwinana, lost the toss and bowled first. The visitors lost an early wicket but then put some good partnerships together and were looking good at 3/113 until Guri Singh stepped up, a runout and a couple of wickets from Sunil Dogra 2/22 saw Kwinana lose their last 6 wickets for just 27 runs, leaving them all out for 140 from 70 overs. Congrats to Guri Singh 5/39 with another 5 wicket haul for the Tigers.

Satvinder and Haroon

5th Grade were away to CBC, won the toss and sent them in. Our bowlers just could not get a breakthrough early as they piled on the runs and just got away from us in a reduced over day, ending on 3/230 from 50 overs. Wynan, Russell and Paul Abbott with 1 wicket each. We will need big partnerships next week!

Mark and Jared Delamere

6th Grade travelled to Gwynne Park vs Armadale and won an important toss, on a very bleak overcast day and sent the opposition in. We had immediate success with 2 wickets from Steve Ambler 2/10 to have them 2/8. They then blocked their way to 24 before 3 more wickets, starting with a run out, had them reeling at 5/31 after 21 overs. After a rain delay, the batsmen shut up shop and crawled their way to 5/51 off 35 overs before a downpour ended the day early. Aaron and Connor had 1 wicket each. Next week will be a 50 over game, so they 15 overs to bat in hopefully dry conditions.

Steve Ambler

ODD was at home to Hilton/Bicton won the toss and batted first in an agreed 20 over game. The Tigers ended on 8/107 with Maka Dias 24, Gihan Abeygunasekara 22 and Joseph Wijayamuni 16 (given out hitting the ball twice) our top scorers. The game looked all over for the Tigers with the score on 0/76 and only 31 runs needed, but 2 wickets from Manu Pathinaike 2/21 got the ball rolling and then with them on 2/96 and only 12 runs to win, a miracle was about to unfold. Four wickets from Iffam Samidon 4/18, one wicket from Irosh Ranathunga, and 3 run outs, saw a 1 run win to the mighty Tigers with Hilton/Bicton all out for 106 off the last ball of the game with a run out. Amazing win boys!
