Another fantastic round of fixtures for the Tigers with 3 wins and 1 close loss.

6th Grade continued their game vs Roleystone defending their total of 232 and the visitors on 1/15. Wickets starting tumbling from the start and apart from a brisk knock of 25 from their captain and 20 from their opener no one else passed double figures. Gursewak Singh 5/10 from 14 overs and Farooq Ali 5/28 from 11 overs, were at their best and bowled them out for just 75. The follow on option was there but Shamez decided to have a quick bash for 4 overs, returning 2/28 before declaring, Shahruhk Syed making 17. Bowling a second time the visitors put up a fight at the start with the 1st wicket falling at 41 with a run out and then the introduction of spin saw the wickets start to tumble. Vijay Kumar 4/34 and Nadeem Muhammad 3/18 cleaned them up and an outright victory was achieved with just a few overs to spare. Great win boys and a 3 from 3 start to the season.

7th Grade were chasing 128 runs vs Perth Tamil to notch their first victory of the season, resuming on 0/24 a quick wicket was followed by a strong and steady partnership between Matt Pedulla 28 and Dempsey Badorek 75 who are both in fine touch to get us to 101. Dempsey fell on 120 and victory in sight. Patient and determined batting by Vinnie Ciancio 40, Jack Robb 23 and the tail saw us post 8/244 from 85 overs. Well done boys for your first win!

ODD traveled to Hilton, batted first and posted a moderate score of 139 with the inform Naleen Fernando continuing his scoring spree with 42 (3 sixes and 3 fours) and Manu 22. Defending this score would be tough vs the experienced Hilton side but a good start had the opposition in trouble at 4/42, but a steadying partnership held them together as they passed our score and finally ended with 6/151. Mohamed Samidon taking 3/30. A first loss for our Tigers will make them more hungry next week!

ODG played their first game at home vs Maddington and posted another commanding win. Sent in to bat the Tigers got a very fast start with 22 runs off the first 2 overs but Della left a ball he shouldn’t have and was bowled for 18 with the score on 40. A strong partnership of 53 between Richo 31 and Stuart Riseley 33 saw us at 90 at drinks. We then piled on the runs with contributions from everyone Darren Third 31, Tyler Richards 19 and Callum Richards 20no took our score to 7/190. Our bowlers then dismantled their solid start with the ever reliable Ambo taking 2/18, then spinner Asim taking 3/22 and Connor McGinty finishing off the tail with 4/9 along with some great catches, we bowled them out for 108. Looking good this year with a 3 from 3 start, let’s keep it up fellas.
