6th Grade went to Beeliar Oval where it is one of the home grounds for Phoenix. Knew it was going to be a tough game where Phoenix with a bowling attack that can slow some of the big strikers they did not disappoint. Phoenix won the toss and elected to bowl first. The phoenix bowlers kept a good line and length with mostly on the stumps where if you miss they hit so it was a slow start for our top order batsman. Top batsman Haroon Ahmed the top run score of 35 runs with 5 fours with only Umar Qureshi and Gurseak Singh both making 14. After a bad batting performance 6th grade only able to amass 107 off 48.1 overs. With just on an hour to go before the end of the day Phoenix are so far 1 for 38 and also with a full 65 overs to play for our bowlers will have to work hard to get quick wickets to pull this one of the bag.
