Our 6th Grade travelled to Canning Vale to play Perth Tamil, winning the toss and electing to bat. A great opening partnership between Matt Pedulla 21 and Dempsey Badorek 40, of 63 runs got the day off to a bright start and then 2 more big partnerships  between Woodsy 80 and Nadeem 18, of 54 and Woodsy and Harsh 22, of 59 set up a big score for the day of 9/258. A good day with the ball next week is needed. Good luck fellas.

In ODA our Tigers lost a very close game vs Willetton. The visitors won the toss and batted first making 6/158 with Waqas Mehdi the best of the bowlers taking 2/19. The run chase started well with a 53 opening stand between Shah Rukh 27 and Waqas 27 but then a steady decline in wickets saw us needing 67 with just 2 wickets left. Some power hitting by R Singh almost got us there falling 8 runs shy of victory. Let’s lift for the next game boys.

ODC continued their good form with a win vs Thornlie away from home. Thornlie sent the Tigers in and a great 2nd wicket partnership of 68 by Ritesh 27 and Dwarakanath 38 set up a good total of 9/195 with Abishek Ghai top scoring with 41no and captain Krishna Kalluri making 26. Our bowlers then kept Thornlie to just 160, with Dwarakanath rounding off a great day with 5/17 to add to his 38 runs, Captain Krishna taking 3/35 and Karnam Nagarjuna 2/31. Keep it up lads.

ODE bounced back from last week with a huge win vs Jandakot. Winning the toss and sending the visitors in, we bowled them out in just 18.5 overs with our openers Steve Ambler 3/26 and Stuart Riseley 3/5 doing the damage and then abley supported by Aaron Dyer 2/1 and Asim Qureshi 1/10. Darren Third taking 2 superb catches at mid on. The batting order was mixed up a bit to give our young fellas a bat but did not work out as planned with us being 3 for 1 after just 2 overs. But Richo 47 with Darren, Stewie and Manu 20 steadied the ship allowing Aaron Dyer to play his natural game at the end powering his way to 53no with 3 sixes and 6 fours. We ended the day on 8/193. Let’s keep up the winning formula next week.
