This weeks blast from the past #16 is Steve Tenardi. Steve played for 27 years at the Tigers from 1972/73 to 1997/98 playing in 171 games. Steve (tits) Tenardi was a solid batsman and a very reliable wicketkeeper and a great clubman. With the bat Steve made 2646 runs at an average of 12.42 with a best score of 65no vs Southern Districts in the 1985/86 season. With the gloves on Steve took 150 catches (4th on the all time list) and 39 stumpings. Steve also captained in 55 matches and was a great motivator. Steve was the social supporter of the year in 1991/92 and was made a life member of the Tigers in 1991. Please share your stories of Steve in the comments below.
