6th Grade couldn’t make the runs set by Phoenix last week and were bundled out for just 86 off 46 overs, Steve Hall the best with the bat scoring 27. Bowling a second time the boys took 4 wickets for 108 runs in 21 overs, Woodsy, Stonie and Devin picking up a wicket each. Let’s lift for the next game lads.

ODA had a great win against a strong Phoenix team. Tigers won the toss and batted first making 163 from 38 overs with captain Waqas Mehdi making 62no and carrying his bat, A Mehmood 35 and R Singh 20 supported the skipper with some power hitting from the tailenders, hitting 8 sixes between them. Then our bowlers were once again led by the captain bundling Phoenix out for just 91 in 27 overs, Waqas Mehdi 3/21, R Singh 2/21, Vijay Kumar 2/12 and FS Ali 2/17 the best of the bowlers. Keep up the great work guys.

ODC had another big win vs Kardinya at home, winning the toss and batting first the Tigers made 7/241 with Ritesh Kumar 56, M Yelavarthy 35, D Canakapalli 34 and D Narasani 28no amongst the runs. With the ball the Tigers bowled Kardinya out for 132 in 33 overs, captain K Kalluri 2/21, S Katta 2/18 and R Kumar 2/19. Keep up the momentum boys.

ODE suffered their first loss, going down to top side Kenwick. Losing the toss the Tigers batted first and made sure they batted out the overs, finally making 8/136 with Manu Pathinaike 30, Richo 21 and Stuart Risely 19 the top scorers. With the ball the boys really gave it their best shot with just 9 players for most of the innings, we did well to keep Kenwick to 5/161, our spinners doing a great job keeping the runs down. Asim Qureshi taking 2/34 and young John L Downing bowling a brilliant spell taking 3/33 with a wicket on his first ball and 2 wickets in his first over. I’m sure the boys will bounce back next week when we can put 11 players on the field.
