This weeks blast from the past #14 is David Watterson. David played in 132 matches mostly in 1st grade from 1974/75 to 2014/15, missing most of the 1990s and playing one day grades in the 2000s. He played in 3 Grand Finals, winning 2. David was an explosive batsman who could bat in any position and was a wizard with the ball. With the bat David scored 3996 runs at an average of 30.26 with 5 centuries and 23 fifties. His highest score of 143no was vs Gosnells in 1981/82 season. In his career he hit 72 sixes (3rd most in the club) which shows his power. With the ball David took 172 wickets at an average of 17.86 taking 5 wkts in an innings 7 times, with a best of 6/24 vs Gosnells in 1987/88.
David won the cricketer of the year at the Tigers in 2003/04 season scoring 603 runs with 2 centuries and 4 fifties.
