Weekend Wrap – 3 wins out of 4

A great start to the season for our One Day teams with 3 wins and a loss to our 6th Grade.

ODA won against Hilton, batting first the Tigers made 145 with S Shah Rukh making 48 and FS Ali making 25. They then bowled Hilton out for 118 with W Medhi taking 4/18 and Vijay Kumar 3/32. W Medhi taking his 50th wicket for the Tigers.

ODC won a tight game against Willetton, batting first the Tigers made 8/157 with captain K Kalluri scoring 52 and well supported by A Ghai with 30no. They backed up their batting with some tight bowling, keeping The Crows to just 7/139 with D Narasari taking 3/26 and RK Madamshetti taking 2/34.

ODE won the toss and bowled first against Kardinya which turned out to be a great decision, bowling them out for just 44. Openers Steve Ambler 3/16 & Stuart Risley 2/6 took 5 wickets between them then our new guys Harsh Jansali 2/2 and Stonie Barlow 2/7 finished them off. Harsh took a wicket with his very first ball for the Tigers. Chasing a small target was achieved with just 3 wickets down and we ended up batting all our overs out on a very slow ground making 9/130. Top scorer was sundries with 34 and Alan Kidd and Stuart Risley made 17 each.

6th Grade had a tough loss to Jandakot Park, losing the toss Jandakot batted first and notched up 165 from 38 overs with captain Shane Wood 4/22 and president Steve Hall 4/34 starring with the ball. The run chase never really got going and the Tigers were bowled out for just 71 with inform player Dempsey Badorek 20 and Shane Wood 18 the only batsmen to get into double figures.
