This weeks “blast from the past” #9 is Ken Thompson. Ken played in 80 games from 1964/65 to 1970/71 and a brief return in the 1980/81 season, he played in 7 Grand Finals winning all 7 and playing in the golden era of 1st grade wins. Ken was a fast opening bowler and a very handy batsman. It was with the ball he made the biggest impression taking 142 wickets at an average of 16.27, taking a 5for 6 times with his best return of 8/29 vs Kelmscott in 1965/66. With the bat he made 903 runs at an average of 16.72 making 5 fifties and a highest score of 99 vs Maddington in 1965/66.
