This weeks “blast from the past” #10 is Don Barendrecht. Don played in 117 games from 1966/67 to 1984/85. He played in 5 grand finals winning 3. Don was a fast opening bowler and a handy lower order batsman. He took 242 wickets (14th on the all time list) at an average of 16.72 with a best return of 7/34 vs Kelmscott in 1983. He compiled 12 x 5 fors taking a seven for twice. With the bat he made 1052 runs at an average of 12.06 and a top score of 53no making 3 fifties. His highlight was playing in the 3 first grade one day premiership titles in 1979/80 (taking 4/16) 1980/81 and 1982/83.
