This season the Tigers will be fielding 7 teams as we welcome back our 2 teams from Armadale. The season got underway on Sat 1st Oct with our 3 two day teams playing one dayers. Not a great start to the season with 2 losses and 1 win.
4th Grade, with new Captain Umar Qureshi were at home to Kwinana, lost the toss and bowled first. Our bowlers did well to keep Kwinana to 7/159 with Jaspreet Chhabra taking 4/33 and Daljeet Singh 2/18. None of our batsmen could fire in the chase with no one reaching 20 and we were all out for 120. Let’s get a win next week!
6th Grade were away to Kwinana, lost the toss and batted first. A rocky start was halted by Russell 25 and Matty 31 with a 32 run partnership. Guri made a quick fire 26 and Vinnie hit a six in his 13no to leave the Tigers on 9/123. Kwinana had no trouble passing the target and finished on 4/144 with Guri Singh taking 2/18. Next week fellas!
7th Grade started their comeback to the Tigers with a solid win vs Phoenix at Coker Park. Losing the toss we bowled first and kept the visitors to just 7/101 with Balvinder Kumar 2/17 and Karthik Pasnoor 2/18 our best bowlers. Chasing the score we struggled to 4/25 before Reddy and Manoj added 39 runs, Manoj was joined by Dinakar and they put on a 98 run partnership that sealed the game. Dinaker made 66 from 47 balls and Manoj 42 off 42 balls in a total of 9/230. A great first up win.
