Fourth Grade fall short, Sixth Grade get hit with injuries in a close game, ODC and ODE have big wins and ODH lose a cliffhanger.

4th Grade were chasing a big score vs Hilton at home . The openers got off to a slow but steady start losing the first wicket at 33 and another at 46 and at tea we were 3/72 off 40 overs. The run rate started to challenge us and the steady fall of wickets saw us fall away from the target, ending all out for 157 off 70 overs. Umar Qureshi 33 and Jodat Malik 20 were the best of our bats. We will need to win all of the remaining games to make the finals.

6th Grade were at home to Roleystone, won the toss and batted first. A good solid start set up the innings for a decent total to bowl to. Opener Matty Pedulla made a fine 33 on one leg, Mark Delamere 24, Wynand Gouws 23 and his first ever six and Russell Tilbrook 21no with 2 big sixes, leaving us with 9/160. Our bowlers kept us in the game and if not for some injuries, leaving us with only 8 fielders, things could have been different. Russell Tilbrook had an outstanding game taking 4/26 and a wicket each to Asim, Jackson and Jared with Roleystone posting 7/189. Now to the 2 day games!

ODC were away to top side Armadale, won the toss and batted first. We were in early trouble losing our first 3 wickets for 28 and our 4th wicket at 43 but a 66 run partnership from Eldhose Baby 28 and Praveen Veugopal then another 66 runs from Praveen 60 from 60 balls and Vysakh Menon 46 from 37 balls got us to 6/177. Nithin Radhakrishna then blasted 41no from 19 balls with 4 sixes to set Armadale a target of 8/243. The team hitting 10 sixes in the innings. Our bowlers and fielding was superb as we constantly got wickets around their opener who went on to make a century, bowling them out for 189 and only 2 batsmen making over 10. Two great run outs along with Praveen Venugopal 3/42, Vysakh Menon 2/43 and a wicket each to Jouhar, Santhosh and Roy now sees us at the top of the ladder. Well done Tigers!

ODE were away to Maddington, won the toss and batted first. A slow start had us in trouble at 3/23 but some middle order hitting from Yesudas Kuriakose 24 and Melvin Thomas 26 and a whopping 49 extras saw our total reach 158. It was our bowlers that would dominate the Maddington line up, bowling them out for just 75 with only 1 batsman reaching 10. The wickets were shared around with all bowlers taking wickets. Amal Babu 2/9, Ciril Jose 2/12 and a wicket each to Rahul, Melvin, Safil, Alphonse and Riju. The win sees us on top of the ladder.

ODH were away to Willetton, lost the toss and bowled first. The game was agreed to be a 20/20 game because of the heat. Willetton started very well adding 72 for the first wicket before our bowlers started to contain the flow of runs, keeping them to 5/121 from their 20 overs. A wicket each to Nuwan, Dilshan, Heshan and Mohamed. The chase started poorly, losing our inform batsman Asanka cheaply. From there no one could get on top of the bowling with a steady fall of wickets we ended 6 runs short of the target on 9/115. Mohamed Zainudeen 18 and Vihanga Silva 17 the top scorers along with 36 extras. The first loss for a long time sees us drop to second.
