Fourth Grade let a good start slip away and Sixth Grade lose a 6th straight one dayer. Our one day teams start back next weekend.
4th Grade were at home to Hilton/Bicton, lost the toss and bowled first. Sunil Dogra got the breakthrough with the score on 22 and then struck again with his next ball, 2/22. FS Ali chimed in with a wicket and Sunil got his 3rd to have the visitors reeling at 4/35. Osama Hassan picked up his maiden wicket to have them 5/67 but a 56 run partnership saw Hilton 5/123 when Farooq, Vijay and Sunil all took a wicket each to have them in trouble at 8/132. That was the last wicket to fall unfortunately as the visitors mounted a comeback to end the day on 8/261. Sunil Dogra took 4/67, Farooq Ali 2/30, Vijay Kumar 1/72 and Osama Hassan 1/26. A big run chase next week for the Tigers.
6th Grade were away to Kenwick, won the toss and chose to bowl first. We got an early wicket when Jared Delamere struck at 1/2, but as wickets fell around him the Kenwick opener would dominate our attack scoring a century off just 80 balls. Steve hall was back to his best taking 4/15 and Asim picked up 2/41 with a wicket each to Jared, Harsh, Paul and Jackson with Kenwick all out for 199. The run chase was never really on as we lost wickets regularly and could not hit the boundaries as Kenwick bowlers tied us down. Jared batted trough the innings to make 27no and Macca made a quick 13 with us ending up on 7/106. One more one dayer to go next week to finish with a win.
