One win and three losses in the last round of fixtures for 2020. The T20 games are on for the next 2 weeks to round off the year.

4th Grade were chasing 123 vs Hilton/Bicton and resumed their innings at 4/19. Things got a lot worse when we lost Dempsey, our top scorer for 21 and then Vijay for a first ball duck and the Tigers were reeling at 6/28. Some lower order resistance saw us get to 81 before being bowled out in 40 overs. Hilton went in for a second innings and piled on the runs getting to 4/181 from 35 overs, 2 wickets from Am Ali and 1 each to Farooq and Shamez. The loss drops us to 6th on the ladder, so we are looking for better things next year.

Dempsey Badorek top scores with 21

5th Grade were chasing 200 vs Kardinya, we lost Vinnie early and then Della for 20 to a dubious decision and we were 2/30. A great partnership developed between young Jared Delamere and Matty Pedulla of 57 runs until losing Matty for a well made 28. Steve Hall and Keegan Bennett went cheaply but young Della batted on, posting his first 50 for the Tigers before getting in a mix up run out, making 53. At 6/116 and 1 batsman short it looked tough, especially when we lost Wynan and Angad leaving us 8/137 and 1 wicket left. But the fighting qualities of Salman Farsi, top scoring with 33, with Harsh Jansali almost got us there until another mix up runout ended the innings on 176. 3 losses for the season but all of them were hard fought. Better luck next year fellas.

Jared Delamere reaches his 50

6th Grade were chasing 149 vs Cockburn 2, we got away to a solid start before losing Richo in the 7th over, we were 1/27. Tyler was hitting the ball very well but we lost Callum with the score on 60 after 16 overs. Tyler was joined by Umar and they got the score to 100 before Tyler ran himself out for a brilliant 63 with 11 fours. Connor continued his good form and made a confident 38, taking us past the target and leaving us on 4/157 from 48 overs with Umar still looking rock solid. He was joined by Sanjeev who struggled early, before launching into the attack, making 43 with 4 sixes and 4 fours and adding 88 runs with Umar in 15 overs, Russell got a good first ball with us now 6/245 and Asim joined his brother and he added a quick 10no and we finished on 6/256 from our 65 overs, Umar unbeaten on 61no. The big win gets us to second on the ladder and we look forward to the T20s coming up.

Umar is unbeaten on 61no

ODD were playing Armadale at Gwynne Park, won the toss and sent Armadale into bat. A big opening partnership of 63 set them up with a good score of 6/145 with Manu taking 2/21 and 1 wicketeach to Irosh, Gihan, Naleen and Iffam. The chase started strong, but the loss of Joseph for 27 had us 1/39 and then a steady flow of wickets saw us on 8/94, but a late charge from Irosh with 22 along with Iffam and Anushka saw us just 17 runs short of the target on 9/129. A third loss in a row has us near the bottom of the ladder, but a couple of wins to start the new year will have us back in the four.
