Our 2 day teams get underway and our ODD team starts off with a win on Halloween.
4th Grade were away at Mills Park vs Kenwick, lost the toss and were sent in to bat with overcast conditions. Things looked gloomy for the Tigers at 3/39 but a solid knock from opener ShahRukh Syed with 63 including 5 fours and 2 sixes and then Vijay Kumar adding 42 and Saeed Ahmad with 26, got our Tigers to a solid total of 196 off 66.4 overs. We then had 7 overs at the opposition, picking up 1 wicket from Guri Singh and Kenwick will resume next week at 1/13.
5th Grade playing at home vs Jandakot Park were sent into bat and quickly lost wickets. At 4/39 we were in trouble but a solid knock from Vinnie Ciancio with 29 held us together for a while. A mini partnership between Matt Pedula 18 and Wynan Gouws 12 got us to 5/79 before a hat-trick saw us reeling at 8/82. Enter rookie Angad Bhullar 18no and Salman Farsi 38no with an unbeaten partnership of 62 to save the day. The Tigers ending on 8/144 from the full 65 overs.

6th Grade were also at home vs SJ Blues won the toss and batted first. We got off to a solid start and at drinks, after 21 overs we were looking good at 2/55. But a quick spate of wickets saw us in real trouble at 6/88. Some big hitting from Asim got us to 7/112 but we lost our last 3 wickets for no score and were all out after 51.2 overs for 112. Richo 23 Umar Qureshi 23 and Asim 20 the best with the bat. We had a good half an hour to bowl at them with Stuey Risely taking 1 wicket and a great run out off the last ball of the day, leaving them on 2/22 and all to play for next week.

ODD were away to Cockburn, won the toss and elected to bat first. It was a shaky start reaching 3/38 and then 4/80 but a brilliant partnership of 69 between Manu Pathinaike 43 and Chaminda Mendis 51 really got things going and we ended up all out for 176 with an over to spare. Our bowlers started well having them 2/38 but a big partnership of 82 kept them in the game. The break through came and the opposition could not get on top of our bowlers with us keeping them to 8/154 from their 35 overs. Irosh Ranathunga 3/13 and Gihan Aheygunasekara 2/25 were the best of our bowlers. Great first up win boys!
