6th Grade started their first day of the 2 day match vs Roleystone and were sent into bat. A steady start was followed by a quick fall of 3 wickets to have us at 3/41 but a solid partnership of 57 by Vijay Kumar 46 and Haroon Ahmed 35 steadied the ship. Debutant Saeed Ahmad then took to the bowling with a blistering 81 off just 65 balls with 5 sixes and 8 fours saw the Tigers reach 232 from just 44.4 overs (what will we get when we bat the full 65 overs?). A strong bowling performance followed keeping the visitors to 1/15 from 10 overs. Well done boys!

7th Grade travelled to Canning Vale to take on Perth Tamil and were asked to field first. A fantastic display of tight bowling kept the opposition to 128 from 45.3 overs with captain Steve Hall leading the way with 5/30, Harsh Jansali 2/11 and Vinnie Ciancio 2/18. Our openers Matty Pedulla 12 and Srinivas Katta 8 saw us to 0/24 at stumps to set up a chase next week.

ODD were in fine form again this week vs Armadale at home, winning the toss and batting first. We were quickly in trouble at 3/30 but a fine partnership of 94 between captain Chaminda Mendis 45 and Manu Pathinaike 38 helped us settle. It was then over to the inform Naleen Fernando 75 who belted the attack for 8 sixes and 3 fours as we set a target of 232 from just 30 overs. (let’s use up our overs lads!) All our bowlers were used and Armadale never looked in the hunt and finished all out on 161. Charith Rajapakse 4/19, Manu 2/16 and Mohamed Samidon 2/30 were the best of the bowlers.

ODG were away to Willetton, won the toss and sent the opponents in to bat. All bowlers bowled a tight line as Willetton batted conservativlely to reach 8/116 with Blake Third, our 14 year old junior, in the wickets again with 4/14 and Aaron Dyer 2/9 the best of our bowlers. The chase started badly with 2 cheap wickets but Stuart Riseley 42 and Darren Third 62 along with Callum Richards 26 saw us reach a comfortable 5/175 and made it 2 wins from 2 starts.
