This weeks blast from the past #24 is Jim Green. Jim was a very handy batsman, part time wicketkeeper and part time bowler, he played 16 seasons for the Tigers from 1980/81 to 1997/98 playing in 104 games, 75 of those as Captain. With the bat Jim scored 1978 runs at an average of 14.68 scoring 3 fifties and a highest score of 90 vs Kenwick in 1980/81 season. With the ball Jim took 40 wickets at an average of 28.05 and a best of 3/13 vs Willetton in 1990/91 season.

Off the field Jim, along with his wife Jenny, served the club tirelessly on the committee and as loyal members of the Tigers. Jim was awarded the Frank MacGrotty Club Person of the year in 1985/86 and together with Jenny in 1988/89.
