Great weekend for the Tigers with 5 wins and 2 losses. A ten wicket haul for the GURU of 6th grade and a 5 wicket haul in ODB.
4th Grade were looking to win defending 232 vs Kwinana after Haroon’s amazing knock of 151no but things did not go as planned. Kwinana added 167 for the first wicket and even though we fought back, they ended in front on 264 all out. Three wickets each to Ajimon Paul Thurai 3/41, Sooraj Suresh 3/57 and Vijay Kumar 3/52. The loss knocks us out the four so some big games coming up for the Tigers.
6th Grade were in fine form defending 239 after a century from Shamez last week bowling Kwinana out for just 31. Guri Singh continued his stellar season with the first 7 wickets for just 8 runs, being on a hatrick twice. Kwinana were asked to follow on and were soon in trouble at 3/8 but a fight back got them to 113 all out with Guri taking 3/40 to give him 10 wickets for the match. Steve Hall taking 3/9 to finish the game. We stay top of the ladder with a big game vs Cockburn next week.


7th Grade continued to pile on the runs vs Hilton/Bicton after resuming on 2/107 with Sindhu Govindu making 66 after bowling them out for just 92. We ended declaring at tea on 8/253 with Dinakar Reddy Narasani making 66 with one six and 6 fours. Hilton/Bicton sut up shop and defended their way to 1/55 before the captains shook hands. A great win keeps us in 4th spot.

ODA lost vs Forrestdale. Bowling first we kept Forrestdale to only 143 thanks to brilliant bowling by Ravi tej Mungi with 4/18 and Asim Qureshi taking 2/25. The chase was going well at 3/100 with our opener Yeshwanth Kallem going strong on 51, but his wicket triggered a collapse with only Reddy Madamshetti hanging in there with 24, losing our last 7 wickets for 30 runs, all out for 130.
ODB got their season back on track with a resounding win vs Piara Waters. Bowling first they got off to a good start reaching 1/104 but an inspired spell of bowling from Santhosh Sunny with 5/40 helped reduce them to 176, Suneeth Vinod Suseela taking 2/21 and Yesudas Kuriakose 2/36. The run chase was swift and brutal as we reached the target in 25 overs at 2/177, Yesudas Kuriakose making 38 opening, then Sethuraj Rajendran 72no from 56 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes and Suneeth Vinod Suseela 48no from 37 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes finishing them off with an unbroken 84 run partnership. A fantastic comeback win.
ODD won a close game vs Thornlie. Bowling first we restricted Thornlie to 146, Abin Raj was in fine form taking 4/21 and Vinish Payyappilly taking 3/25. The chase started slowly and at 3/46 we looked shaky but a good partnership between Riju Mathew with 38 and Nanda Kumar Melari making 30, set us up for the win with Syed Ali getting us home with a four and a six. We ended on 9/158 and stay on equal top of the ladder.
ODE won vs Riverton/Rostrata. Bowling first we did a great job keeping them to just 126, thanks to Nuwan Arachchige with 3/20 and 2 wickets each to Rusiru Pitiyage 2/24, Yasas Gunasekara 2/16 and Irosh Ranathunga with 2/25. The run chase was well constructed with good partnerships throughout the innings. Heshan Nanayakkara and Irosh Ranathunga both top scoring with 34, Rusiru Pitiyage 28 and Saliya Widanagamage 25. The win keeps us level with top side CBC.
