We win 5 and lose 2. Two more centuries, another two 5 wicket hauls and an 18 year, opening partnership, club record is broken on a big weekend, but no one day final for our 2 day teams.
4th Grade lost vs Kelmscott. Batting first we made 9/153, MT Saleem top scoring with 29. Kelmscott chased down the target in the 38th over finishing on 5/155, Vijay Kumar taking 3/26. The loss kept us out of the One Day Final.
6th Grade won vs North Baldivis. Bowling first they looked on track for a big score at 3/152 but our bowlers struck back to keep them to 9/178. Guri Singh taking another 5 wicket haul with 5/26, Liam Bastin took 2/12. The chase looked steady at 3/64 but a partnership of 115 between Steve Hall, who ended on 73, and Keegan Bennett 50no took us to a win and a final total of 5/198. We just missed out on a One Day Final.
7th Grade won vs Kardinya. Batting first our innings was dominated by opener Siddhanth Mokala who compiled 123 out of a total of 172, he hit 14 fours and 3 sixes off of 107 balls. A truly remarkable innings, Our bowlers then did the job bowling Kardinya out for 155. Captain Nagarjuna Karnam taking 5/27, Vikram Dendi 2/19 and Wajahat Nazeer 2/46. Missed out on the One Day Final by the barest of margins.
ODA lost vs East Fremantle. Batting first we made a competitive total of 150 with only 9 players. Dwarakanath Canakapalli top scoring with 57 and Reddy Madamshetti making 30. It was tough in the field with only 9 players so East Freo chased down the target in 30 overs. A great effort from the TIGERS!
ODB won vs Willetton. Batting first we made our lowest score for the year with 140, thanks to 45 extras. Yesudas Kuriakose top scoring with 27. But our bowlers came to the rescue to bowl Willetton out for just 113, Godson Joseph taking 2/10, Asish C Thomas 2/21 and 3 run outs.
ODD won vs Canning Vale. Bowling first we kept Canning Vale to 9/148, Jobin Thomas taking 3/25, Abin Raj 2/20 and Paulose Anjilickapillil 2/22. Our batsmen did the job chasing down the score posting 8/194 with opener Jinil Painadath Raphel making 39 and Jijinlal Kg making a quickfire 75 from 54 balls with 12 fours and 1 six.
ODE won vs Forrestdale. Batting first we made a massive score of 5/231 thanks to a record breaking opening partnership of 183 (breaking the previous opening stand of 175 in 2005 by Mark Richards and Chris Wisse) between Missaka Wickramasinghe smashing 116 off 82 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes and Heshan Nanayakkara 53no off 89 balls. Our bowlers made short work of Forrestdale, dismissing them for 112 with Lakmal Madushanka taking 3/19, Rusiru Pitiyage 3/25 and Captain, Ayoob Zainudeen taking 2/14. A smashing victory from the TIGERS!
