Our 2 day teams are in good positions while the one day teams lost 2 and won 2. Another Tiger passes a milestone.
4th Grade are in a good position vs Kelmscott. Batting first we made a good score of 239 with Haroon Ahmed continuing his good form with 57, Vijay Kumar with 42, Saeed Ahmad with 36 and MT Saleem 30. Good bowling next week will see us with a win.
6th Grade had a bad start with the bat but fought back with the ball to be in a commanding position. Batting first we only made 114, thanks in large to Matty Pedulla with his maiden fifty making 54 off 122 balls. We bounced back with the ball having North Baldivis in real trouble at 5/16, Guri Singh continuing his hot streak with 3/13 and Steve Hall taking 2/2 thus reaching 350 wickets for the Tigers. In a good position for next week.
7th Grade bowled first vs Cockburn and kept them to 8/233 which looked like being more with them at 2/180. Ravikumar Nakka bowled well taking 3/24, Siddharth Bachhawat 2/27 and Manoj Yelavarthy Mohan 2/31. We need to bat all day next week to chase it down.
ODA lost vs East Fremantle. Batting first we had a terrible start losing 4 wickets for 1 run and was bowled out for just 53. East Fremantle took just 7 overs to pass the score making 2/55.
ODB won vs Piara Waters. Bowling first we kept their bats quiet bowling them out for just 118 in 39.3 overs, Shanab Valappil taking 3/20, Asim Qureshi in his first game with ODB taking 3/11 and Libu Louis Jainy 2/11. Our bats knocked off the target in quick time posting 1/121 in 14.5 overs. Yesudas Kuriakose top scoring with 43, Sethuraj Rajendran 35no and Libu Louis Jainy 34no. Top win TIGERS.
ODD won in a tight game vs Armadale. Batting first we ended up on 6/182 after 35 overs thanks to a great knock by Abin Raj with 56no and Vinish Payyappilly smashing 36 from 25 balls. In the chase Armadale came close with 171 as we got over the line, Jobin Thomas bowled well for 3/32, Ananthu Krishnan took 2/34 and Abin Raj with a great all round game with 2/16. Great job Boys!
ODE lost their first game vs CBC. Bowling first we did very well keeping them to 8/125 from their 35 overs. Yasas Gunasekara taking 3/13 and Rusiru Pitiyage 2/28. In the chase we started well at 1/43 but we lost wickets in clumps to be bowled out for just 94, opener Missaka Wickramasinghe top scoring with 27. Big bounce back next week TIGERS!
Congratulations to Steve Hall for passing 350 wickets for the Tigers on Saturday. Steve is a life member and past President of the club. He has played in 260 games in his 20th season at Tigerland. He has done this at an average of 19.04 with 11 five wicket hauls and a best of 6/28 and taken 1 hatrick. He is the 11th Tiger to pass 350 wickets and the 10th fastest. Well done Steve!!
