We had it all this wild weekend, we had Outright wins, tied game, 1 run thriller, heartbreak losses and another hatrick, as we win 4 and lose 2.
4th Grade tied vs Maddington. Chasing down 182 we were looking winners at 6/180 but we lost 4 wickets for 2 runs and it ended in a tie. Great knocks from Haroon with 57 and Praveen with 49.
6th Grade won Outright vs Champion Lakes. Batting on we added another 11 runs before declaring on 2/114 with Jackson Curthoys on 50no. Bowling a second time we bowled them out for 69 with only 7 players present for Champion Lakes and thus winning by an innings and 23 runs. Jackson taking 2/17 and Matt Pedulla taking 4 catches in the field.
7th Grade lost vs Kardinya Lakes. Chasing just 130 we looked to be winners at 4/112 but we lost the last 6 wickets for 10 runs to be all out for 122. A good knock of 30 from opener Wajahat Nazeer. Kardinya batted again to end on 1/62.
ODA lost vs Leeming. Bowling first we kept Leeming to 7/169 with 2 wickets each to Reddy 2/24, Ravi 2/31 and Mouriyan with 2/21. In the chase things were looking good at 7/157 with Aamer on 55no from 54 balls but he could not get the strike as we lost the last 3 wickets for 1 run and still 3 overs left to bat. Opener AjayKumar made a fine 30.
ODB won vs Cockburn. Batting first we made a solid 188 with openers Yesudas making 33 and Sethuraj 34 but the innings was held together by Libu Louis Jainy with 73no from 61 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes. Our bowlers kept it tight and bowled Cockburn out for 151 with Libu Louis Jainy taking 3/31 which included a hatrick, the second of the season for the Tigers. Yesudas Kuriakose took 3/18 and Jouhar Khan 2/26. ODB is undefeated so far this season.
ODD won vs North Baldivis. Batting first we struggled to post 96 all out, with opener and Captain Stefan Varughese carrying his bat with 35no from 97 deliveries. No one else scored double figures. The game was a thriller as we won the game by 1 run taking the last 2 wickets with their score on 95. Safil Sharif was brilliant taking 4/22 and Jobin Thomas took 2/17. Amazing win by the Tigers.
ODE won vs East Fremantle. Bowling first we bowled them out for 164 with 3 bowlers taking 3 wickets each. Nuwan Arachchige 3/22, Rusiru Pitiyage 3/30 and Adeesha Welgama 3/37. In the chase we batted well in partnerships making 8/189 with opener Missaka Wickramasinghe top scoring with 43 and Irosh Ranathunga making 25. ODE undefeated this season.
