Mixed results for the Tigers as we win 4 and lose 3 in the first full week of fixtures. All our one day teams going up the grades.

4th Grade lost to Willetton. We bowled first as Willetton ground out 7/175 with MT Saleem taking 2/38 and Vijay Kumar 3/26. Our batting never got going as we were bowled out for just 108 with Praveen TP making 30 on debut and Haroon Ahmed 28.

6th Grade lost to Cockburn. Bowling first we were reduced to 9 fielders as Cockburn amassed 6/187 with Harsh Jansali taking 2/30. In the chase we gave it a good shot with only 9 batters ending on 146, Steve Hall making 45 opening the batting.

7th Grade won vs Hilton/Bicton. Batting first we piled on the runs making 218 thanks to Siddhanth Mokala making 60 from 28 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes, Shashi Pidikiti 55, Boobalan 38 and Sravan 34. Hilton never got going as they were bowled out for 92, 2 wickets each to Wajahat 2/14, Siddhanth 2/24 and Manoj 2/7. Two wins from two.

ODA lost to Phoenix. Bowling first Phoenix ended on 7/178 with Ravi Mungi taking 3/37, Dwarakanath 2/15 and Yeshwanth 2/21. In the chase we ended on 126 with Dwarakanath making a fine 53 from 40 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes, Satish 25 and Vijay 22. Well done for your 1st game in the top Grade coming from 7th grade last year.

ODB won vs Thornlie. Bowling first we kept Thornlie to 179 thanks to great bowling from Suneeth Suseela taking 4/32 and Jouhar Khan 3/35. The chase started well with 69 from opener Eldose Paul and 56 from Yesudas Kuriakose with Akhil Mathew adding 23, that got us to 9/236 and a big win.

ODD won vs SJ Blues. Bowling first we kept SJ Blues to 6/167, 2 wickets each to Subin Thomas 2/13, Melvin Thomas 2/28 and Vishnu Nair 2/25. The chase was swift passing the score 4 wickets down and ending on 7/228 with 42 from opener Abel Jey on debut, 35 from Safil Sharif and 51no from Sethuraj Rajendran from just 37 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. A fantastic start in ODD.

ODE won vs Riverton/Rostrata. Bowling first we restricted them to just 5/105 with Irosh Ranathunga taking 2/8 and Vihanga Silva 2/23. We then piled on the runs in quick style making 199 from just 24 overs. Opener Missaka Wickramasinghe, on debut, making 68 from 55 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes, Heshan Nanayakkara 30 and Irosh 35 from 31 balls. Great start in a higher grade.
