2 wins from 2 as we head into the Christmas/New Year break. A very Merry Christmas to all our Tiger family past, present and future.
6th Grade were away to Roleystone/Karragullen, winning the toss we batted first and did not bat out our full overs, ending with 163 off 34 overs. No one really got going with Nadeem Muhammad batting at No8 top scoring with 25. Sundries was our best contributor with 48 extras. Our bowlers were on top from the start, especially Farooq Ali, getting himself another 5 for, for the season, this time taking 5/12. Rajsatinder Singh with 2/28 and Waqas Mehdi 2/7 were our other wicket takers, bowling out the opposition for just 110. The win keeps us in 2nd place in a very tight top 3.
7th Grade played at home to Jandakot Park, lost the toss and were sent into bat. A good opening partnership of 79 between Mark Delamere 40 and Matty Pedulla 31 RH, set up the innings with Dempsey Badorek 37 and Vinnie Ciancio 15 taking it to 136. We ended with a good score of 6/164 but would need some good bowling to get the win. Our bowlers delivered early with Harsh Jansali 4/33 and Jarad Delamere 2/34 taking wickets. A fight back ensued by the visitors and at 7/151 the game was theirs for the taking, but Asim Qureshi 2/26 took 2 wickets and Harsh finished them off, bowling them out for 155 with 8 deliveries to spare. A great fighting win leaves us in 3rd place with 5 games left for the season.
