6th Grade were defending just 90 runs and had to chase a lot of leather on Saturday as SJ Blues compiled 7/321 with a declaration. Paul McLean 3/29 and Steve Hall 2/52 were our best bowlers. Batting a second time we ended the day on 3/39 with Shane Wood making 30. Good luck for next week’s final game.
ODA had a big win vs Perth Tamil, batting first and making 206 with Waqas Mehdi making 67 with 5 sixes and 3 fours, scoring the bulk of the runs. We then bowled the opposition out for 155 with Rajsatinder Singh taking 5/45 and Asim Mehmood 2/29 the destroyers.
ODC had a rare loss vs SJ Blues, bowling first we kept them to 156 with Reddy Madamshetti 3/29 D Narasani 2/22 and K Nagarjuna 2/24 the best with the ball. Chasing a moderate score we were still in with a chance at 7/122 but we fell just 20 runs shy at 136. D Canakapalli 34 RK Madamshetti 27 and SR Katta 21 our top scorers.
ODE had another good win vs Piara Waters, winning the toss and batting first we made 6/172 with Manu 41 Della 27 Richo 21 and Stewie 20 all contributing. With the ball we struck early and continued taking wickets on a regular basis, finally bowling them out for 105. Russell Tillbrook 2/11 Stuart Riseley 2/12 and Manu 2/20 the best of our bowlers.
