It was a rough round for the Tigers with many players unavailable through injury or personal reasons, so some of the teams played without 11 starters.
6th Grade lost to Phoenix and had to play with 10 men. Batting first the Tigers were all out for 128 with Woodsy top scoring with 25. Phoenix ended with 6/192, Steve Hall 2/45 and Nadeem Muhammad 2/34 the best of the bowlers. Congrats to Steve Hall playing his 200th game for the Tigers.
ODA were our only team to win in a nail biter vs Perth Tamil. The Tigers batted first and posted 189 thanks mostly to some power tail order hitting by Daljeet Singh 51. With the ball it came down to the second last over with the Tigers taking the last wicket with the score on 181. Vijay Kumar 2/24 Umar Qureshi 2/2 and Asim Mehmood 2/40 the best of our bowlers.
ODC were sent in vs East Fremantle and ended with a total of 153 Siva Ankam top scoring with 36. Our bowlers couldn’t contain the East Freo batsmen with them totaling 198, Siva Ankam taking 3/24 Krishna Kalluri 2/33 and Reddy Madamshetti 2/42 the best of our bowlers.
ODE were hit the hardest with 5 players unable to play and only getting 9 players on the field. They did a great job of containing Hilton to just 9/168 with no batsman passing 24. Asim Qureshi 3/33 and Manu Pathinaike 2/17 the best with the ball. Chasing a big score we needed a good start but that wasn’t to be, eventually being bowled out for 75. Some lusty hitting from Manu 30, gave the score some respect. Back to strength for next week.
Milestones for the Tigers
